SPAINAfter the oil tanker Prestige foundered off the coast of Spain, Spanish students flocked to help clean up the spill. Agape staff members in Madrid joined 300 students in helping clean up the mess.

During the 11-hour bus ride to the coast, STINT worker Jen Eckert talked a lot with a student named Claudia, and by the end of the week Claudia had surrendered her life to Christ. Since returning to Madrid, Claudia has been studying the Bible with Jen and learning how God can change her life.
LATVIALast winter, as one of the coldest winters in a hundred years gripped Riga, Agape students and staff members invited friends to the warmth of an evangelistic Christmas Tea, held in a second-floor flat in the old part of town. Staff woman Aija Lilienfelde, who came to Christ during the first Latvia summer project in 1994, spoke on the greatest gift of all. "I was a bit nervous," says Aija, "but when we went to the kitchen afterward and read the cards, we found seven people had checked that they prayed and received Christ."
FRANCELast October Agape France invited the Campus Crusade for Christ band Xnélo to give evangelistic concerts. During each outreach, they collected money for such causes as helping outfit a hospital in Afghanistan. Students liked the music.
In Montpelier, in the south of France, 400 students packed the room. Though only a couple have begun attending Agape meetings, campus director Daniel Cline believes Xnélo gave momentum to the fledging movement. "We could not have imagined a better way to launch the campus ministry," he says. "Now we are known for [hosting] good events on campus."
