Agape Latvia is working with military Chaplains providing other resources and assistance in their ministry to the Latvian Armed Forces. We have Bible Studies with soldiers and share the Good News of God's love with them. English clubs are offered to cadets at the National Defense Academy and to officers at the Naval Training Center.
Ministries in Latvia
Campus - The university ministry of Agape Latvia is building a movement of spiritual multiplication with the leaders of tomorrow by using a variety of strategies that integrate Christian principles with professional development. Our training program is an integral part of enabling them to be effective leaders after graduation.
Business and Professional - Offering Conferences on topics ranging from Biblical leadership to marriage and parenting. We also conduct Bible studies especially for business people.
Military - Strengthening the Latvian Chaplaincy by sharing Christ's love, discipling soldiers and training them to win and disciple others for Christ. The JESUS film is shown to every new soldier, courses in Christian basics are conducted and assistance is provided to help soldiers leaving the military integrate into churches and society. English clubs help military personnel learn and practice English, build friendships, and help prepare Latvian military leaders and future leaders for NATO expansion.
Teachers - Offering a variety of programs to both Latvian teachers and to the general public that provide foundations in Christian education and ministry skills.
Every Student Studies Jesus - A network of Christian teachers and volunteers showing the JESUS video every year to potentially 80,000 4th, 9th, and 12th graders in Latvian public schools.
Christian Ethics and Morals Classes - Training teachers to teach a curriculum in Christian character to elementary students, and Christian Ethics and Morals to secondary students.
Discipleship Groups - Teachers, who live in many different Latvian cities, learn practical ministry skills and are encouraged to apply them in their daily lives.
Seminars For Teachers - Through a variety of topics such as how to motivate children to learn, we are able to share the gospel as well as equip teachers to improve their teaching skills by using a biblical basis for education.
Vacation Bible School - Offered for children during holidays. While these events provide opportunities for evangelism among Latvia's children, they also allow the leaders to train Sunday school teachers and others in how to prepare lessons and teach children.
From Illusion To Truth - Christian illusionist Zigmars Atvars performs in public schools all over Latvia, combining a professional illusionist program with an explanation of the gospel.
Crescendo - Uniting Christian professional classical musicians to its participate in Christian conferences, concerts, ecumenical services.
