God is At Work
Logos Ministries of Finland, also known as the People's Bible Society, is a Lutheran evangelistic organization working in co-operation with local churches - supporting them in their evangelism and in partnership with Agape Europe. The organization was born during a national revival at the end of World War II and is widely known for its evangelistic outreaches, evangelism training and introducing new methods for reaching people.

Ministries in Finland
Coverage - The JESUS video has been widely used by the Churches in their outreaches. Large, often city wide evangelistic crusades are held together with local Churches. We help plan and organise the event and train the lay people for their tasks. Evangelistic summer conferences and festivals are held in several locations yearly.

Target Group Ministries - A special worship service for families with small children ("Mukulamessu"), and puppet theatre are used to reach children and families. There is also extensive marriage and family ministry as well as ministries among singles and divorced. Significant ministry among the growing group of senior citizens is carried out through a special training centre which serves the elderly and those working among them.

Church Training Ministries - Evangelists are trained to preach the Gospel. Christians are trained to help fulfil the Great Commission. New Life Training Centres are all over the country.

Student Ministries - Work is established to minister to young people and students in cities with large student populations.

Inner-City - A variety of ministries for street children in St. Petersburg is serving as a model for Russian child welfare. These ministries include street social service, a shelter for boys, a day centre for children from crisis families, a crisis apartment, aid to families with foster children and support for families in difficult living situations.

Prison Ministry - In Finland and in Russia this ministry is bringing spiritual fruit. Local believers in Russia are trained to be involved in prison ministry and to take care of those released from prison. Several ministry centres have been established in Russia. Prisoners are helped with their material needs as well.

Publishing - A weekly newspaper , "Sana" published since 1945, continues to bring the good news of Jesus Christ into 35 000 homes in Finland and many more via internet. Also a number of Christian books are published each year.
