Communication . . . Then and Now

“Honey, if we buy the 40 megabyte hard drive, we’ll never need more space,” I said back in 1984, and my loving wife, Anna, has reminded me of that statement many times over the years! ... more

For most of us, this seemingly simple question has quite a complex answer. I am a woman, a wife, a mother, a daughter, a sister, a missionary, a writer, a musician . . . the list goes on. But who am I really at my very core? ... more

Key City: Geneva

Geneva, Switzerland, plays a leading role in world affairs. Home to more than 200 international organisations and NGOs, it's a political and spiritual hub of influence. So it's only natural that God would guide Campus für Christus to select Geneva as the "Key City" for Switzerland. "This is all about transformation from the inside out," says Swiss national director Hanspeter Nuesch. "Our vision is to help build Spirit-filled leaders who will apply Kingdom principles in all spheres of society."

Pray for Geneva

  1. Pray for Benjamin and Jessica Moses, a young couple who will be launching a new ministry in Geneva, that they would grow in grace and the knowledge of the Lord, and that God would grant wisdom as to first steps. They have doctorates in theology and economics, and well connected to the international community.
  2. Pray that God will give wisdom as to the timing and location of a conference to launch this new ministry. Most likely it will be in conjunction with the 500th anniversary of the birthday of John Calvin, in 2009.
  3. Pray for Thomas Weber, director of the ministry in French-speaking Switzerland, as he oversees the summer project.
  4. Pray that God will prepare people's hearts in Geneva, and that He will transform lives and marriages.
  5. Pray for open doors to meet needs in the area of the family, though marriage/family seminars and AlphaLive courses.
  6. Pray for good relationships and partnerships with international churches in Geneva.
  7. Pray that God would raise up a strong ministry that transforms the lives of current leaders, and sends them back to their home countries as ambassadors for Christ.
  8. Pray for the summer projects for tourists from the Arabian Peninsula in July and August.
